metastatic ewings sarcoma

Back above, front below

Metastatic Ewings Sarcoma

This is the doctor name for what Sammy has (love how I am a 5 year old). She is staying really strong, and will be home on monday. She has done two rounds of Chemo therapy, and I am sure very happy she gets to come home. Everyone in the house had to get flu shots, and until she is settled they have asked for no visiters. I made these prayer cards to hand out to family in friends to remember that God is HUGE, and our prayers count. If you would like me to mail you one of these cards as a reminder to pray for Sammy I will be giddy to do so! Thank you to everyone who has already started praying for her!

Hi Amber,
I found your blog through Miss, who posted the prayer request for Samantha Jo on her site.

When I saw "sarcoma" my heart stopped and I instantly prayed for all of you. My 29 year old brother has been battling liposarcoma for the last 3 years. He is currently cancer-free, but goes in for his 3 month scan on Dec.5.

His story isn't one of success (yet) but it is one of hope. He was drifting from God for a long time, and this battle with cancer has completely turned his life around.

We have seen so many people come to Christ through him, and many more walks strengthened. While I have dealt, and still deal, with an array of emotions, I rest assured in God's amazing love and plan for our lives.

You, Samantha Jo and family will be in my prayers.

THANK YOU! You have no idea how much this means to me. My family is a total wreck right now, and needed Jesus.
If you want I can send you a prayer card. Let me know!
THANK YOU so much for your prayers.

I just checked out her caringbridge site, and saw that she is in Minnesota? Oddly enough, while I am in CA, I grew up in Maple Grove Minnesota and my family still lives there.

My brother was being treated at the Mayo, and is now at the VA (he was in the Air Force when they found the cancer).

Just a thought, but my Mom, who has been the main support system for my brother, might be someone you would want to connect with. She is a beautiful Christian woman who has learned a lot about walking through cancer with a loved one.

And I would love a prayer card. Email me at sarahbethsandberg@gmail.com and I can give you my address.

Love & prayers ---
